Terms & Conditions

1. Rates quoted in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and subject to change without prior notice.

 

2. Rentee must possess a passport or NRIC, valid driving license or international driving license, with minimum 2 years driving experience ("P" license holders) are not permitted, working permit/id, utility bills for address confirmation.

 

3. All rental vehicle can be use around peninsular Malaysia onlyThe vehicle is prohibited from being driven in Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, Labuan, Langkawi, Tioman, Redang, Pangkor, Genting Highland. It is prohibited to be driven on a non-gazetted road or off-road. we have the right to a penalty of RM3000 will be imposed if caught

 

4. Delivery and collection services. The vehicle must be picked up and returned to the Franz office. However, delivery and collection services are available upon request (subject to manpower availability). The delivery and collection charges are calculated based on distance and timing. Please enquire with your Franz representative before confirmation of booking.

 

5. Pick-up or delivery, and drop-off or collection services before or after operating hours, on Sundays, or on public holidays will incur an additional surcharge. Before / after operating hours is RM100 ; After 0000 HRS (12:00am) to 0700 HRS (7:00am) is RM150. It is advisable for the Renter to check the Franz business hours before confirmation of booking


6. The rental rates include full indemnity for accidental damage to third party property and bodily injuries. However, in line with the commercial insurance practice, the customer is always responsible for an amount equivalent to the excess clause not exceed for Group A (RM2,500), Group B (RM5,000) and Group C (RM10,000).

 

7. In addition to the rent charges, the customer is required to have a cash security deposit and an equivalent as a guarantee of proper usage of the vehicle for the entire duration of the contract, sum which will be reimbursed in 14 working days exclude sat sun and PH if no damage is notified on its delivery

 

8. We offer the customer the option to waive the financial responsibility resulting from damage vehicle while it under rental agreement. This can be done by accepting the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) at the time of taking delivery of the vehicle on payment of 25% from rental rates

 

9. The renter must return the vehicle or a replacement vehicle with the same level of petrol as when it was picked up.
A refueling surcharge will apply if the vehicle or replacement vehicle is returned with less fuel than at the original check-out.

10. The customer is responsible for paying all rental fees during the day of pick-up and monthly rental payments starting on the date of delivery of the vehicle and thereafter on or before the same generic date each subsequent month. We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement if the customer fails to make payment on time.

 

11. Daily and weekly rental rates are based on 24 hours, and if the rental exceeds 30 minutes, it will be charged as an hourly rate but only for a maximum of 5 hours, if more an additional day's rental will be addedMonthly rental rates are based on 30-days, and if the rental exceeds one (1) month, the pro-rata extended day rental will be calculated

 

12. The insurance and CDW will not cover for damage due to negligence, tyre punctures and burst tyres, fuel errors, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned off electrical devices, loss or damage to the vehicle accessories and parts.where the loss, damage, or theft is caused intentionally, or due to gross negligence of the Renter or an authorised driver


13. The Customers is reminded to not be used for any unlawful activities including but not limited to illegal racing, illegal trafficking of any kind and any activities which may cause damages to the rented vehicle. The customers are reminded that underbody and overhead damage is at their own risk at all time. All insurance is void if vehicles are driven on unsealed and unmade roads or surfaces.

 

14. Customers are reminded to always park their vehicles in a safe place, an area free from flooding, away from large trees, away from crowded and narrow areas or dark places with the potential for accidents and theft.This act will result in a penalty (sentence 3) as well as the use of a security deposit. Malaysia speed limit for motorway is 110km/h and standart hight limit 3.8m

 

15. Sharing or hand-off the vehicle to unauthorised third person is prohibited. This act will result in a penalty as well as the use of a security deposit

 

16. All parking fees or traffic fines incurred during the rental period will be the responsibility by the customers. We encourage customers to pay them immediately. If you default, we will pay the fines plus RM30 for handling charge


17. Refund policy - All payments made are final and non-refundable under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations, no-shows, or changes to bookings. Customers are advised to carefully review their reservations and agreements before making payment.

 

18. The customers are reminded to not exceed the daily 450km and monthly mileage limit 3000km/month equivalent to one time engine service every three month. If the monthly leasing mileage usage reaches the mileage limit before 3 months (9,000km) the customer has to bear the service cost charged at our workshop panel.

 

19. The customers are responsible to return the vehicle for servicing and maintenance every 3,000/5,000/8,000/10,000 kilometre (dependding on agreement), any damage to the vehicle due to late maintenance will be responsibility of the customer. We reserve the right to impose a penalty of RM1 per kilometre after 500km exceeding the service limit. The customers also responsible to maintain oil and water levels in vehicle engine, if engine fails due to none-maintenance of vehicle fluid levels the customers will be liable for repairs (Maximum RM2000)

 

20. Interior Damages: The Renter is liable for all damage to instruments, knobs, and fittings in the vehicle. Missing, Stolen, Broken, or Missing Accessories: The Renter is liable for all missing, stolen, or broken parts during the rental period or vehicle return unless the vehicle is damaged at the same time during an accident. For example, child seat, GPS navigator, spare tires, rims, wheel cap, tools & jacks, lamp, audio set, gear lock, lighter, wiper, switch & control button, mats, rear-view mirror, side view mirror, sun visor, head rest, etc. Lost or damaged supplementary parts or accessories will be the responsibility of the Renter

 

21. Customers are always reminded that all risk when driving are the customers responsibility including if any object or road stone fly at any part of the body/mirror/tires or engine to the point of cracking, breaking or damage. We will give a repair quotation and the customer is responsible for paying damages or excess.

 

22. Lost Vehicle Keys/Duplicate Vehicle Keys: The Renter is liable for all replacement costs, which include a new set of keys and security system, and or whatever items pertain to the lost vehicle keys and vehicle alarm system

 

23. Customers should notify us for long distance travel to ensure that assistance can be provided immediately if needed.
